Rockford Components have successfully
completed a tactical offload package of work for BAe Systems (Air
Systems) for the South African Hawk Programme.
Rob Allison Supply Chain Manager at
Brough has added his thanks to the team at Rendlesham: "Following the
conclusion of the electrical offload package that you have recently
discharged, may I take this opportunity to thank your team for the
very professional manner in which this work was undertaken, all
deliveries were made on time of before the schedule and to the correct
quality standards."
Kevin Thompson adds: "This is the first
time that I can remember that we have successfully tactically
offloaded an electrical package with minimum disruption to the
programme, I can not recollect looms for the South African contract
ever being raised as a concern at any programme review I have
attended."

Rockford Components have been awarded the
design and manufacture contract for Titan and Trojan the Engineering
Tank System (ETS) for the UK M.o.D by BAe Systems (Land Systems)
Newcastle.
The contract which included spares, is
estimated to be worth £2.3M over a four year period.
Steve Hayter the Groups Commercial
Director explains "This contract will secure the employment of some 50
employees based both at our Rendlesham Corporate Headquarters and at
our Worksop manufacturing facility" he adds "This contract negotiated
with Neil Gent at BAe follows the open book policy piloted on both
PBISA and VICS contracts which gives BAe a visible 'true' cost of
ownership of the products concerned."
