We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Buyer to join our growing team and be based at our Worksop site. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality products and services, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective procurement to support business operations. Experience is required as this role requires working knowledge in purchasing and shipping processes.

Description & Responsibilities

• Review purchase orders for conformance to company policy.
• Build relationships with vendors to achieve improved pricing and delivery.
• Attend internal production meetings to identify demands, schedules and procurement needs.
• Occasional travel to other AQ UK sites as required.
• Attends meetings and provides information to identify purchasing requirements, establish business plans and performance objectives, and report performance against plan and business objective.

 

Experience / Skills / Attributes

• Working knowledge in purchasing and shipping processes.
• Proficient in MS Office/Excel
• Good team player with integrity, interpersonal, organisation and good time management skills.
• Work well under pressure and able to work independently
• Effective communication both written and verbal
• Ability to meet internal and external targets
• Accuracy and attention to detail
